Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 - Travelling

Check in for your flight to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

    Staying at: Victoria Falls Hotel

Connect in Johannesburg for the flight to Victoria Falls. After arranging your entry visa into Zimbabwe, you will be met for your transfer to your hotel. Over the next few days explore Victoria Falls and the surrounding area. A helicopter trip over Victoria Falls is a wonderful experience.

Days 5-7 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Staying at: Zambezi Queen by Mantis

This morning you will be transferred to the Zambezi Queen. Simply enjoy and relax as you gently sail on the Chobe River. There should be opportunities to see hippos and herds of elephant at the waters edge as well as a spot of fishing. Of course, this is a great way to see some birds too.

The Zambezi Queen is a super boutique style floating hotel with just 14 suites that all feature a view of the river.

  • Days 8-10 - Okavango Delta

    Staying at: Sanctuary Stanley's Camp

Today you will be transferred to Kasane Airport for your light aircraft transfer to the Okavango Delta, look out for animals on the ground as you fly over - we've often seen rhino and elephant.

There is never a dull moment at Stanley's Camp, whether you are travelling out on a game drive, game walk or gliding through the waters in a mokoro (dug out canoe).

The Okavango Delta is flooded for much of the year and when it is, guests can experience serene silence at the gentle pace of a poled mokoro excursion along the narrow channels. If you are lucky you will see a pod of hippos in the water or some crocodiles sun bathing on the banks. Naturally being by the water will open up an array of birdlife too.

Games drive tend to operate during the cooler parts of the day, in the morning and late afternoon but because Stanley's Camp is located in a private concession this opens up the nocturnal world too as you can travel out in darkness - not otherwise permitted. We like spotting bush babies and owls at night.

    Day 11 - Departure

After your breakfast, you will be transferred to the airstrip for the light aircraft transfer to Maun. Meet the flight to Johannesburg where you connect on to the UK.
