    We are delighted to offer this amazing tour (with 2 departure dates) that starts with 3 nights in cosmopolitan Cape Town before you fly up to the mighty Victoria Falls for a 2 night stay. 

    Included is a guided tour of the falls and a fun helicopter flight over the falls before you board the exquisite Rovos Rail Train for an 11 night journey through Zimbabwe, South Africa, Mozambique, eSwatini before finishing with a night in the South African capital – Pretoria.  Highlights include; Game viewing in 5 different areas, A visit to the Great Zimbabwe Monument, a city tour of the lesser visited capital of Mozambique, traversing the mountain kingdom of eSwatini and South Africa’s Panorama Route.

  • Day 1 - Overnight Travel

    Fly overnight from the UK

     

    Days 2-5 - Cape Town

    Staying at: Dock House Boutique Hotel, Cape Town

    On arrival - you are met and transferred to the V&A Waterfront and check into the wonderful Dock House Boutique Hotel for the next 3 nights stay with breakfast included.

     

    Day 5-6 - Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

    Staying at: Palm River Hotel 

    The 5-star hotel offers the discerning traveller luxury accommodation with easy access to explore Africa’s Natural World Wonder of Victoria Falls. Guests may enjoy a plethora of activities on offer within the historical town of Victoria Falls or soak in the magic of the Zambezi River and the abundant wildlife that inhabits the popular destination.

     

    Day 7 - Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe)

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    Check out today and you will be taken to the Victoria Falls Hotel - meeting point for the train

    10:30 Meet at Victoria Falls Hotel. Luggage will be taken to the train by the staff.

    11:00 Enjoy a tour of the Victoria Falls with lunch.

    16:00 Reception at Victoria Falls Hotel.

    17:00 The train departs for Dete.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 8 - Hwange National Park

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    05:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    06:30 Full-day game drive in Hwange National Park with a packed lunch.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars. Depart for Bulawayo

     

    Day 9 - Matobo National Park

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    09:00 Full-day tour of Matobo National Park with lunch. Visit the grave of Cecil John Rhodes as well as bushmen caves with rock art.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars. Depart for Dabuka

     

    Day 10 - Antelope Park

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    06:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    08:00 Depart for a full day at Antelope Park with lunch. Optional extras include canoeing, game drives, horseback game viewing, elephant interaction, bird-watching cruises etc.

    15:00 Return to the train. Depart for Bannockburn.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 11 - Great Zimbabwe Monument

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    06:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    08:00 Transfer to the Great Zimbabwe Monument for a tour with lunch.

    17:00 Return to the train. Travel towards Beitbridge for border formalities.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 12 - Limpopo Province

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars until 10:00. Day on board as the train traverses Limpopo.

    13:00 Lunch is served in the dining cars.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars. Travel towards Hoedspruit

  • Day 13 - Kapama Reserve

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    05:00 Continental breakfast is served in the dining cars until 05:30.

    05:30 Game drive in Kapama Game Reserve followed by visit to the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.

    12:00 Return to the train for lunch. Depart for Mpaka.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 14 - Eswatini Border

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    08:30 Disembark at Mpaka. Transfer (±90 min) to Swazi Candles and visit Mantenga Cultural Village with lunch at Mantenga Lodge.

    14:15 Return to the train (±75 min). Depart for Maputo.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 15 - Maputo Border

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    09:00 City tour of Maputo, Mozambique, with lunch.

    15:30 Return to the train. Border formalities take place.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars en route to Malelane.

     

    Day 16 - Kruger National Park

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    05:30 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    07:00 Full-day game viewing in the Kruger Park with lunch.

    18:00 Return to the train. Depart for Mbombela.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 17 - Panorama Route

    Staying at: Rovos Rail

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars.

    09:15 Full-day tour of historical areas Pilgrim’s Rest, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and Graskop with lunch.

    17:00 Return to the train. Depart for eMalahleni.

    19:30 Dinner is served in the dining cars.

     

    Day 18 - Pretoria

    Staying at: Castello Di Monte

    07:00 Breakfast is served in the dining cars. The train travels on the eastern line towards Middelburg, known as the “stainless steel capital of Africa”

    13:00 Lunch is served in the dining cars.

    16:30 Tea in the lounge and observation cars.

    18:00 Arrive at journey’s end at Rovos Rail Station, Pretoria.

     

    Day 19 - Overnight Travel

    Check out today and later in the day you will be transferred by road to Johannesburg OR Tambo Airport in time for the overnight flight back to the UK.
