This itinerary combines the Mother City of Cape Town, the stunning Garden Route, a Big Five safari and a beach stay in the Maldives.
A trip to South Africa often starts in Cape Town, one of the most beautiful cities in the world exploring the sights followed by a leisurely drive along the 300km Garden Route before finishing with a visit to a private game reserve. Ideally this trip should be taken in October when the whales are along the Atlantic Coastline and the weather in the Maldives is coming into dry season.
Outline Itinerary

Day 1 -Travelling
Take a night flight to Cape Town via Dubai.
Day 2 – 5 – Cape Town
Today you will arrive into Cape Town off your flight from the UK via Dubai. On arrival you will be met and transferred by road to your hotel in the Mother City. There are lots of amazing places to visit from Table Mountain, Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned, Cape Point & Boulders Beach and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. These are just a few of our favourites.
Day 6 - 7 – Hermanus / Pringle Bay
This morning your car rental will be delivered to your hotel ready for your journey from Cape Town along the coast to Hermanus. On your free day in Hermanus we recommend a boat trip to see the whales (season dependent) or if you are the adventurous type then white shark diving.
Day 8 – 10 – Knysna
Today you will be driving along the N2 to the heart of the famous Garden Route for your stay in Knysna. 3 nights here you will have time to explore the beautiful scenery South Africa has to offer. There ae many activities you can enjoy from here including a boat trip across the Featherbed Nature Reserve in Knysna, visit Birds of Eden and Monkeyland, or zip wire through the Tsitsikamma Forest. For the adrenaline junkie’s bungee jump off the Bloukrans Bridge.

Day 11 – 13 – Eastern Cape Safari
After breakfast you will continue along the N2 coastal road to Pumba Private Game Reserve. Arrive in time for lunch and your afternoon game drive. Over the 3 nights stay you will have 6 game drives exploring the private game reserve hunting for the Big 5 game – including the white lion. In between game drives relax in your suite with your very own private plunge pool.
Day 14 – Overnight flight
After your morning game drive, you will head to Port Elizabeth, drop off your rental car and check in for your flight to Johannesburg. On arrival into Johannesburg, you will transfer onto your overnight flight to Dubai.
Day 15 – 21 – The Maldives
On arrival into Dubai, you will connect onto a flight to Male. On arrival into Male, you will take a sea plane to your hotel.
Day 22 – Travelling to the UK
An early sea plane from your hotel to Male Airport for your flights home to the UK.
