    When it comes to the reputation of the Masai Mara, the image of acacia trees on an endless grass plain epitomises Africa for many, and then add a Maasai warrior and some cattle to the picture and the conversation need go no further.

    If you are looking for an extraordinary wildlife experience with an incredible location, then Amboseli is hard to beat, with huge populations of elephants set to the backdrop of Africa's highest mountain peak - Kilimanjaro.

  • Day 1 - Travelling

    Today you will check-in for your overnight flight from London Heathrow to  Nairobi.

     

    Day 2 - Nairobi

    Staying at: Sentrim Boulevard Hotel 

    Upon arrival into Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Sentrim Boulevard hotel . Afternoon at leisure. Suggested optional Nairobi excursions include a visit to the Daphne Sheldricks Museum where you can adopt an elephant, a Nairobi city tour or visit the giraffe centre.

     

    Days 3-4 - Masai Mara

    Staying at: Mara Sentrim Camp

    Leaving Nairobi after breakfast, you will travel towards Kenya’s fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Look for the charming chapel they built at the foot of the escarpment. You will pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Valley to Narok and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch there is an afternoon game drive returning to the camp as the sun sets. Sentrim Mara Camp Sentrim Mara is located in Maasai Mara Game Reserve, 3 km after Sekenani gate.  The entire thirty one tents are spread out in serene surroundings amongst Acacia trees that surround the camp. A safari in the Masai Mara is a superb experience, often you will see enormous numbers of wildebeest and zebra. It is also one of the rare regions that you stand a good chance of seeing cheetah - one of our favourite cats.

     

    Day 5 - Lake Elmenteita

    Staying at: Sentrim Elmenteita

    Leaving the Masai Mara after breakfast  you will travel across the ‘breadbasket’ of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley fill the landscape as you head north to Narok, the district headquarters of this part of Maasailand. Now travel across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley, keeping an eye out for herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mai -Mahiu, before arriving at Lake Nakuru around midday. The waters here are often coloured shimmering flamingo pink, from thousands of the beautiful birds lining its shores. Following lunch, you will take an afternoon game drive in Nakuru National Park.

    Sentrim Elmenteita Camp is situated in the heart of one of Kenya’s most densely populated wetland National Parks, (Ramsar site) only two leisurely hours’ drive from Nairobi, through beautiful forested uplands and passing a series of lakes. On the outskirts of the bustling market town of Nakuru lies a truly remarkable national park which has achieved international fame. Both black and white rhino are being given a new lease of life in this 188 sq km, fully-fenced park – and they are carefully protected. The present rhino population is over 50 and continuing to multiply.

  • Days 6-7 - Amboseli National Park

    Staying at: Sentrim Amboseli Lodge 

    After an early breakfast you will depart with a picnic lunch, leaving the Rift Valley behind, you continue towards Nairobi and then head south towards Amboseli. Then proceed with afternoon game drive in the park enroute to your camp and arriving in the evening. Overnight at Sentrim Amboseli Camp on a full board basis. Sentrim Amboseli Camp is located on the border of Amboseli National Park, right near Kimana gate.

    Here you will have morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli, returning to the lodge as the sun sets.

    Amboseli National Park is very well known for its large population of elephant and varied habitats; you can be exploring the wetlands, savannahs, bushland and the dried up lake bed of Lake Amboseli all in search of wildlife.

     

    Days 8-12  - Mombase

    Staying at: Bamburi Beach Hotel

    Following an early breakfast, you will catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli National Park, viewing game en route to the border of the park. From here turn north along a good tarmac road across the beautiful and seemingly never ending Athi Plains, arriving in Kenya’s bustling capital city of Nairobi by mid-day. Once in the city, you will be dropped off at the airport for the afternoon flight to Mombasa. On arrival into Mombasa you will be met and taken by private transfer to Bamburi Beach Hotel.

    The Bamburi Beach Hotel is conveniently located on the north coast of Kenya. The hotel is set amid lush tropical gardens with extensive white sandy beaches overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. Simply enjoy the beach and relax for the next few days.

     

    Day 13 - Departure

    Today you are transferred back to Mombasa Airport for your flight to Nairobi, where you will connect with your onward flight into London Heathrow.
