  • Serengeti National Park is world famous for the annual migration of 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebra but in addition to this natural wonder, the park offers an abundance of wildlife and rich biodiversity.

Located in northwestern Tanzania the Serengeti National Park borders with the Massai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. This regional link is home to one of the most phenomenal natural occurrences in the animal kingdom - the Great Migration. Following the availability of grazing, hundreds and hundreds of thousands of animals make the journey beginning in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area of southern Tanzania, moving clockwise through the Serengeti and then north towards the Maassi Mara. An awesome sight.

In addition to the wildebeest, zebra, and gazelle of the Great Migration, Serengeti National Park offers lion, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhinoceros, African buffalo, hippo and many more. A tremendous array of ornithological life is resident here too, from huge vultures to superb starlings.
