  • Ruaha National Park is vast. The largest park in Tanzania covers a staggering 20,000 km2, making it approximately the same size as Wales.

An experience at Ruaha National Park will feel like a personal tour, with the size of the park creating plenty of space for all visitors. There is plenty of wildlife to experience too. Over 570 species of birds have been recorded here, and the area is renowned for large prides of lion and wild dogs.

As you can imagine, the scenery here is diverse as the wildlife. The Great Ruaha River is a spectacular wildlife haunt, especially during the dry seasons, and the park vegetation features miombo woodland heavily in addition to the iconic sight of the odd baobab tree.
