  • Mount Kilimanjaro is world famous. At 5896m it is the highest freestanding mountain in the world and Africa’s tallest peak. Whether climbing or just experiencing its presence, visitors will all agree on the awesome majesty it commands.

For many, conquering the mountain is a must. Whilst it is not considered a ‘technical climb’ as it has well trodden gradual trails, it still requires preparation and care. There are a number of routes to the top which vary in difficulty. Guided tours range from 6 to 9 nights, allowing guests a chance to acclimatise gently, as climbing too high, too quickly can result in altitude sickness. At some point in the trek most people will suffer symptoms to a greater or lesser degree, Breathlessness is guaranteed, but the rewards can be life changing!

As well as taking on the trekking challenge, thousands visit Mt Kilimanjaro National Park simply to drink in the stunning lunar landscape. There is plenty of wildlife to be found here, but for most it is the allure of experiencing the breathtaking visuals of this snow-capped mountain in one of the warmest regions of our planet.
