Highlights

  • Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Resting on the southern banks of the mighty Zambezi river at the western end of the eponymous falls of the same name, the popular tourist town of Victoria Falls is compact enough to walk around and makes and ideal base for travellers exploring the seventh wonder of the world.

  • Chobe National Park

Chobe National Park was Botswana's first, the most biologically diverse and has one of the greatest concentrations of game in all of Africa.

  • Johannesburg

Johannesburg is one of Africa’s biggest and most vibrant cities. It is the economic capital of Africa and the gateway to Southern Africa. Although not as famous as other South African destinations, there is plenty to do in Johannesburg and nearby Pretoria.

Detailed Itinerary

Depart from London Heathrow for your flight to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4 - Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe

    Staying at: Ilala Lodge Hotel

Early this morning you will arrive into Johannesburg Airport where you will transit through to your flight to Victoria Falls Airport.

On arrival into Victoria Falls you will be greeted by a representative for your road transfer to your hotel. There are many activities to enjoy at Victoria Falls, we highly recommend a Victoria Falls afternoon or morning tour, a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River, flight over the falls and a village visit. All of these may be arranged locally, subject to availability or in advance.

Days 5-6 - Chobe River Front

    Staying at: Chobe Game Lodge

After breakfast you will take a road transfer across the border into Botswana for your two night stay in Chobe National Park. Arrive in time for lunch and your afternoon game viewing activity. Chobe National Park is famous for its enormous elephant population and these may be seen on a game drive or on from a boat on a boat safari - quite different to any other safari in Botswana. The birdlife also in Chobe National Park is fascinating given that you will probably see a lot of birds near the water, such as the African skimmer, saddle billed stork, many herons and the African darter - this is to name just a few.

    Days 7-9 - Khwai Conservancy

    Staying at: Machaba Camp

After your morning game viewing activity and breakfast you will take a road transfer to Kasane Airport for your light air transfer to Machaba Camp. On arrival into Machaba Camp you will be met  by a lodge representative and taken to your camp. Arrive in time for lunch and your afternoon game viewing activity. Located in the Khwai Conservancy, just north of the Moremi Game Reserve, Machaba camp is a tented experience with views over the Khwai River. Game drives are carried out in open sided vehicles, walking or by Mokoro (a dug out canoe) and your highly knowledgeable guide will talk you through typical habits of the animals. In the Khwai conservancy you can expect to see wild dog, leopard, lion, wildebeest, elephant and much more,

  • Day 10 - Johannesburg

On arrival into Mauritius you will be met and transferred by road to your hotel where you will spend the next four nights. When in holiday in Mauritius the choice is yours whether you would like to simply relax on the beach or by a pool or alternatively explore the island. Mauritius has a dormant volcano that may be visited at Trou aux Cerfs, the beautiful botanical garden with rich birdlife or the Black River Gorges National Park. There is a different and interesting wildlife aspect in the national park such as wild pig and the Mauritian flying fox and of course like most national parks there are many endemic birds.
