South Luangwa National Park
This is one of Zambia’s top parks which offers big game safaris in 4x4 vehicles, as well as walking safaris. It is recommended that you spend at least 5 to 7 days in at least two of the camps and perhaps one night in Luangwa’s tiny bush camp.
Kafue National Park
The Kafue National Park is the largest park in Zambia and because of the location it is cooler. It is less developed compared to some of the other camps but has cheetah which are rarely seen elsewhere. The Kafue’s Busanga Plains should not be missed.
Lower Zambezi National Park
The Lower Zambezi National Park runs adjacent to the mighty Zambezi River. Here you can view big game against a beautiful mountain backdrop. There are various exciting things to do including boat trips, Tiger Fish fishing, walking safaris and canoeing. This Park is one of the closest to Lusaka - the capital of Zambia.
Livingstone & the Victoria Falls
The Victoria falls in Livingstone are one of the great wonders of the world and offer a variety of exceptional hotels and lovely lodges on the banks of the Zambezi.
North Luangwa National Park
This is a camp that focuses on walking safaris. It has some tiny bush camps and is a partial wilderness area. Even getting to the camp is an adventure, it can take 6 hours by vehicle or alternatively you can fly. Definitely a destination for experienced safari addicts.
Northern Zambia
Northern Zambia has some of the least visited camps that are more suited to the experienced safari traveller. These camps include Shiwa Ng'andu, Nchila Wildlife Reserve and Mutinondo Wilderness Area - as well as Kasanka National Park and the Bangweulu Wetlands.
Liuwa Plain National Park
Liuwa Plain National Park is a vast grass covered plain in the extreme west of Zambia. Here it is possible to see huge herds of wildebeest that gather on the vast plains every year for their “Migration”.
