Day 1 depart from London Heathrow on the overnight flight to Nairobi.
Day 2 Dar es Salaam – Selous National Game ReserveArrive early morning into Nairobi where you will catch the connecting flight onto Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.On arrival at Dar Es Salaam you will be met and transferred to the domestic terminal for the short flight by light aircraft to the Selous Game Reserve. When you touch down at the airstrip you will be collected by the Camp staff who will transfer you to The Selous Serena Camp. Arrive in time for lunch and a chance to freshen up before the afternoon game drive departs.
Set amidst dense indigenous forests the Selous Serena Camp is the ultimate wilderness retreat. With 360-degree views over the surrounding bush, the twelve widely spaced tents are presented in time-honoured safari style, with natural thatch roofs, elegant Victorian-styled bathrooms, private viewing decks. Luxuriously presented, each tent features an engaging mix of canvas walls, crystal chandeliers, opulent rugs and elegant rosewood furniture.

Day 6 Selous – Zanzibar a final morning’s game drive before you are transferred to the airstrip for the Coastal Aviation flight to Zanzibar. On arrival in Zanzibar you will be met and transferred to the Matemwe Retreat.
Matemwe Retreat is a small collection of four self-contained, private villas offering the epitome of luxury. Each of the private villas provides guests total privacy and exclusivity – ideal for those looking for a dose of escapism. Day 12 Matemwe – Stone Town after breakfast you will be collected and taken to the Serena Zanzibar Inn in central Stone Town, where you will spend the night on a bed and breakfast basis.
Enjoy the afternoon in Stone Town exploring the narrow alleys and the bustling market. In the evening don’t miss the night time outdoor food market on the quayside where you can sample a host of weird and wonderful ingredients cooked over the open braziers. Quite an experience!
Alternatively choose from the A la carte menu choices and dine at your hotel on the pool deck whilst watching the sun set on the Indian Ocean.
Overnight at the Serena Zanzibar Inn in a prime Sea View Room rooms on a bed and breakfast basis.
Day 13 Stone Town – Nairobi – London
A final day to relax by the pool or venture out and explore the town on foot or enjoy one of the excursions offered at the southern end of the Island such as swimming with Dolphins. You will be collected from the hotel late afternoon for your flight to Nairobi from Zanzibar. On arrival into Nairobi you will remain in transit for the connecting overnight flight back to London Heathrow, arriving the following morning.
