Etosha National Park
Etosha which has two meanings; 'Place of dry water' and 'huge white area'. Covering over 22,000 sq Kms it is one of South Africa's largest game reserves and home to over 100 species of mammals including the endangered black rhino.
During the months of May-September herds of animals around the watering holes of the vast mineral pan that comprises 25 % of the park area.
Caprivi Strip
A 400km strip of land located in the north-east of the country. This is the wettest area of Namibia and includes the Okavango, Zambesi, Chobe and Kwando rivers.
This lush Savannah area is where almost 75% of Namibia's bird species can be found.
Damaraland
