The German name of the farm is derived from one of the granite boulders in the vicinity, an enormous rock, shaped like a hammer. A swimming pool, bar and restaurant serving typical Namibian dishes complete this overnight facility situated a mere 80 km from Sesriem, gateway to the famous Sossusvlei.
