GORAH ELEPHANT CAMP
Within the Addo Elephant National Park is the beautifully restored colonial splendour of Gorah House and its eleven luxury tented suites. There are two dining rooms, an outside boma, a natural rock swimming pool and experienced rangers for exhilarating game drives. This opulent haven promises elephant encounters at close range as they amble to the waterhole in front of the main verandah.
Dining is by candle-light in the elegant dining room, or on its lazy verandas overlooking the waterhole. Special Boma dinners are offered some nights, around a roaring fire, under a canopy of stars.
The sounds of the bush create a magical air of peace and tranquility, broken only by the splashing of water as the animals arrive to drink under the cover of darkness.
With arguably the best elephant viewing in South Africa, Addo is also the domain of the Cape Buffalo, Black Rhino, numerous antelope species and a host of bird life. Explore the bush with experienced rangers in open vehicles, on foot or on horseback. Gorah is close to the coast and the many other attractions of the Eastern Cape.
