Johannesburg and Pretoria Escorted Tours - Enchanting North & Bush Mosaic

5 day tour includes Pretoria, Mashatu Game Reserve, Debegeni Cascades, Magoebaskloof Gorge, Lone Creek Waterfalls, Long Tom Pass.
Day 1 - Sunday
Depart from Johannesburg and travel to Pretoria, the Administrative Capital of South Africa. Following the N1 highway, continue north through a scenic gap in the Waterberg Mountains, to the fauna rich Limpopo Province and the the town of Bela Bela (formerly known as Warmbaths), where therapeutic natural springs bubble from the earth. Cross the mighty Limpopo River to an exclusive beautiful hideaway in the remote eastern corner of Botswana. Explore the wide-open spaces and abundant bird and wildlife on a late afternoon game drive accompanied by a professional game ranger and tracker before returning to the lodge for an intimate campfire dinner.
Overnight at Mashatu Private Game Reserve or similar, Dinner and breakfast and two game viewing activities.

Day 2 - Monday
After an early morning game activity and breakfast, succumb to the rustic comfort of your bush camp or continue on safari in the 'Land of the Giants'. The spirit of Africa gives an archaeological insight into Africa’s past and provides an enlightening and memorable experience. Join the late afternoon game drive and after sundowners marvel at the nocturnal birds and animals before returning to the lodge for dinner under the African skies (weather permitting).
Overnight at Mashatu Private Game Reserve or similar, Full board and two game viewing activities.

Day 3 - Tuesday
An early morning bush walk or game drive. Alternatively, set out at dawn for a cycling safari to view the animals in their natural environment. After brunch, leave the camp and head east toward Polokwane (Pietersburg) the capital of the Limpopo Province. Pass the 'Zion City', Moria, home to the largest religious group in South Africa and continue to a luxurious country hotel on a spur overlooking the vast expanse of the Letsitele Valley. This is the domain of the famed Modjadji (the Rain Queen), marvel at the myths, legends and overall beauty of this mysterious region. View cycads forests and the Debegeni Cascades. Fine dining awaits in the elegant dining room of one of the finest country hotels in South Africa.
Overnight at The Coach House & Agatha Spa, Dinner and breakfast

Day 4 - Wednesday
Depart this peaceful country retreat and visit the majestic Magoebaskloof Gorge.Travelling through indigenous forests of Eucalyptus and Yellowwood, enter the region of tea estates and fruit farms. Continue via the famous Panorama Route to Dullstroom. Included are stops at the Blyde River Canyon, the Three Rondawels, Bourke's Luck Potholes, Lisbon Waterfalls and Pilgrim’s Rest. Arrive late afternoon at the country lodge, situated in a paradise of trout laden rivers, streams and lakes. Overnight at Walkersons, Dinner and breakfast

Day 5 - Thursday
Visit the Lone Creek Waterfalls and the small town of Sabie. Travel over the historical Long Tom Pass to the towns of Lydenburg, Dullstroom, Witbank before arriving at your hotel or Johannesburg International Airport.
Tour price £1099 per person sharing a double room. Price valid until October 2007, subject to availability.
