Danforth Lodge has eight en-suite, air-conditioned rooms, tastefully decorated in cool, nautical colours and all opening onto a large patio. All rooms have spectacular views of the lake and look out over Thumbi West Island. The garden has shady lawns, leading to our sparkling, beach side, infinity swimming pool. Moored just a stones throw away is the luxury yacht "Mufasa."

PADI scuba diving centre, water sports activities are all on site and easily accessible to our resident guests.

Danforth Yachting operates on a "full board" basis which includes three delicious meals each day, plus teas, coffees, cakes and snacks. Our local international chefs take pride in presenting a tempting selection of dishes for our buffet table, using the freshest of ingredients. Dining is al-fresco in a family setting. Children are most welcome. Early meals and child friendly menus can be arranged. Special dietary needs are catered for too.

Lake Malawi is ideal for the diving enthusiast; clear, fresh, warm water, no tides or currents and over 600 different species of brightly coloured tropical fish known as Cichlids.

See mouth brooders sucking in and releasing their young, witness the "play dead fish" attack his prey, watch out for the "around the corner fish" and the "upside down fish". Fascinating breeding, nesting and fish behaviour patterns pointed out to you by the knowledgeable dive professionals will increase your awareness of this unique and special underwater environment.
