Day 1 Hoedspruit - This area has one of the highest concentrations of raptors in South Africa. With Klaserie Private Nature Reserve just a half hour's drive from the airport, a late afternoon game drive will give you the opportunity to view; White Throated Robin, Longbilled Pipit, Redfaced Cisticola and Violet Eared Waxbills before returning to camp for dinner around the fire.

Day 2 - An early morning walk gives you a chance to experience the bush and view the herds of elephants that populate this area. High tea precedes an evening game drive to view the more elusive nocturnal animals and birds in their active hours and the many stars that illuminate the southern hemisphere sky.

Day 3 - Visit the nesting site of a Martial Eagle and the home of the last remaining Taita Falcons en route to Dullstroom, where you will take a late lunch at the Bird of Prey Centre. The area around Dullstroom provides the opportunity to record some of the more difficult and elusive highveld species such as the Wattled Crane, Bokmakierie and Gurney's Sugarbird.

Day 4 - An early morning visit to the Verloren Nature Reserve, to view Yellowbreasted Pipit and Ground Woodpeckers on the highest grassland plateaus in South Africa.Then travel south to the marshlands of Mpumalanga's Grass and Wetlands region.

Day 5 - A full days excursion (with a packed lunch) to view many rare endemic species including Rudd's and Botha's Larks, Longtailed Widows and Buff-streaked Chats.

Day 6 - Visit the isolated and remote Ndumo Game Reserve situated in northern Natal, just south of the Mozambique border, considered to be the finest bird watching location in South Africa with over 430 species recorded so far.
Full board: Ndumo Private Wilderness Camp
Day 7 - A full day at Ndumo with nature walks through forests of fig trees along with day and night game drives in open 4x4 vehicles.

Day 8 - Depart Ndumo for Durban.
