The lodges have 35km of prime river frontage, for the exclusive use of guests at the Lodge and home to a vast selection of wildlife and bird species. Guests can enjoy a dip in the plunge pool or a siesta on their private deck, whilst animals pass along the river in front of the rooms. Tinga is the ultimate safari destination, it exudes style, elegance and luxurious comfort – all in the heart of Africa 's bushveld.

Tinga Private Game Lodge's 2 luxury lodges can each accommodate up to 18 guests, they have 9 suites, all with en-suite bathroom and shower, private plunge pools, large outdoor showers, fireplace, mini bar and fridge.

In our opinion...Although not technically inside the Sabi Sands Reserve, Tinga is separated by a river from this world renown region with its reputation for big cat sightings. As a consequence Tinga has equally good game viewing and provides a level of luxury which means it can easily compete with the top lodges, on the other side of the Sand River. Tinga has recently been taken over by a new owner and prices have started to creep up, however it is still a good 5* option.
