A Natural Heritage Site, this spectacular property is located close to the ‘sphinx’ of Isandlwana and the Oskarsberg at Rorke’s Drift. Its owners are the Rattray family who are renowned for their battlefield tours and award winning facilities including Zulu War memorabilia. The spacious en-suite cottages have private verandahs with glorious vistas of the reserve where you can walk or take a horse ride to view the abundant game and birdlife.

The Lodge offers daily tours to Isandlwana and Rork's Drift, as well as local Zulu heritage tours and the chance to walk the route followed by the 'Fugitives' trying to escape from Isandlwana across the Buffalo River.

The sumptuous full board meals are served at a communal dining table, giving guests the chance to mingle and compare travel stories. There is a large garden with sun loungers and a sparkling pool where guests can cool off in the heat of the day.
