Gorilla Trekking

Without any doubt, seeing these unique and endangered Mountain Gorillas up close is a must, it is quite rightly considered a once in a life time experience.  Mountain Gorillas are normally found in only a few locations at an altitude between 1,520m and 3,650m.

Professionally guided gorilla trekking is limited to a handful of places, with less than 700 remaining in the world, the mountain gorillas live in Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park. They live in small groups with each group being made up of several female gorillas, babies, black backs and a leading male – the ‘Silverback’.
